01 — The Journey
From Kuwait classrooms to a Cairo consulting room.
“Every patient deserves personalized, compassionate care. I believe in treating not just the condition, but the whole person.”
Dr. Hani's path to medicine began at the Gulf English School in Kuwait, where IGCSE and A-Level studies set the foundation for what was to come. In 1997 he entered the Faculty of Medicine at October Six University in Egypt, graduating with his MBBCh in 2003.
A House Officer year at Cairo University Hospital was followed by residencies in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology across leading university and private institutions. In 2008, he earned the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom — the credential that anchored his specialisation in diabetes and endocrinology.
In 2011 he founded the Diabetes & Neuropathy Clinic (DNC) in Heliopolis, Cairo. From a small specialist practice it grew into a multidisciplinary centre treating diabetes, its complications, and adjacent endocrine disease. Since 2013 he has served as Senior Consultant at multiple hospitals, and in 2021 he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London — among the highest honours in the specialty.
